The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC’s Commandant in Oyo State, Mr Micheal Adaralewa says the command has deployed two thousand personnel to some strategic locations in the state, to ensure a crime-free Yuletide celebration.

This is contained in a statement signed in Ibadan by NSCDC Public Relations Officer, Mr Oluwole Olusegun.

The statement notes that the deployed personnel include armed squad, Counterterrorist squad, female squad, Disaster Management officers, Agro-Rangers and under-cover officers.

It states further that the personnel were deployed to motor parks, recreational centres, worship centres and highways to ensure watertight security in Oyo State before, during and after the yuletide celebration.

He urged well-meaning Nigerians to warn their children and wards to desist from any act that can threaten the peace of the state.

Mr  Adaralewa, therefore, called on all the Christian faithful to use the festive season to pray for peace in the country, be benevolent and moderate in celebration.
