Nigerians have been urged to display high level of patriotism to the progress of the country.
Oyo state Director of the National Orientation Agency, NOA , Mrs Folake Ayoola stated this in Ibadan when a youth organization paid her a visit.
Mrs Ayoola said it took more than treasure of words to love the country, hence the need for citizens and non citizens to be loyal to the country .
She said NOA in Oyo state was introducing Integrity clubs in secondary schools to get students familiar with National ethics and integrity policy which includes; patriotism, self-reliance, human dignity and national unity.
Mrs Ayoola noted ” as part of the activities to commemorate this year’s edition of “fall in love with Nigeria sensitization programme” a maiden edition of Integrity club competition will hold across the state. It would be tied to the Ethics and Integrity policy with the topic, “my role in making a Nigeria of my dream.
She stated further, “it’s high time people embraced the teachings of the Integrity through the instrument of the Integrity club and hold tightly to what it stands for”.
The NOA State Director maintains that the essence of the Integrity clubs was to promote core values of love and selflessness around the world.
Mrs Ayoola also emphasised that the overall winner would receive an award from NOA Director General in a programme that would be streamed life.
