The saying that sweet is the memory of the righteous aptly captured the testimonies and encomiums showered on Late Justice Adewale Fowe at a wake held at the Pentorise Event Centre, Bodija, Ibadan.

 One of the sons of Late Justice Fowe, Mr Adedamola Fowe who spoke on behalf of the children and Mr Babatunde Fowe who spoke on behalf of the extended family described Late Justice Fowe as a humble, persevering, loving, generous, gentle, tolerant and humorous man.

Speaking on behalf of the judges and legal practitioners in attendance, Justice Abodunde said the Late Justice Fowe was not only accommodating but had also played a crucial role in his legal career in Ekiti State.

In a sermon entitled “prepare to meet thy God” taken from Amos 4:12, The Reverend Kunle Kiyesi of All Souls’ Church, Bodija said death is inevitable, hence the need for everyone to be mindful of his dealings on earth.

The Reverend Kiyesi urged the family of Late Fowe to take solace in Christ and be optimistic in the eternal rest being enjoyed by their father.

The service of songs led by the Vicar, All Souls’ Church Bodija, Ibadan, The Venerable Babatunde Obaweya featured special Bible reading taken by the children and prayers for the families of the late justice.

The event which had about thirteen judges from Ekiti State Judiciary led by the Chief Judge of Ekiti State, Justice J.O. Adeyeye also attracted families and friends of late Fowe in attendance.
