The current rancor in the fold of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Osun state, will be resolved before the Governorship election in July, this year.

A chieftain of the APC in the state, Mr Ibrahim Lawal stated this while featuring on political space, a Radio Nigeria interview programme.

Mr Lawal, who was also a former aide to the immediate past governor of Osun state, Rauf Aregbesola, hinted that moves to reconcile aggrieved members of the party had begun.

Mr Lawal expressed optimism that the interest of the party would prevail and all those who had grievances would succumb to make APC united ahead of the forthcoming governorship election.

He stressed that no individual was greater than the party, and all aggrieved members must be ready to work for the interest of party.

Mr Lawal equally expressed satisfaction with the APC governorship primaries conducted last weekend in the state.

He said the outcome of the primaries which produced incumbent Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola as the party’s flagbearer, was a true reflection of the preferred choice of party faithful in the state.

Mr Lawal noted that Governor Oyetola had performed excellently since he assumed office in 2018 and deserved another term to consolidate on his achievements

The APC chieftain, however, called on other aspirants, who contested in the primaries, to join forces with Governor Oyetola in order for the party to emerge victorious in the July governorship election.
