Ondo State House of Assembly has expressed displeasure at the budget performance of the state oil producing areas development commission, OSOPADEC saying it is below expectation.

Chairman House Committee on OSOPADEC, Mr Abayomi Akinruntan made the observation when he led members of the committee on a familiarization visit to the new board of the commission in Akure.

Mr Akinruntan spoke making OSOPADEC to improvement on its budget performance in order to carry out impactful projects in the mandate areas.

He said the house had received the budget proposal of the commission and would invite the board to shed more light on it at the committee level.

Earlier, the chairman of OSOPADEC, Mr Sam Erejuwa said the commission looked forward to a robust relationship with the lawmakers with an assurance that the newly inaugurated board would deliver on its mandate to improve the lives of people of the riverine areas.
