Intensive prayer is imperative for improved security thereby leading to a better society.
Wife of the Osun State Governor, Mrs Kafayat Oyetola stated this during a women inter-religious prayer session held at the state government house, Osogbo.
Mrs Oyetola who appreciated those in attendance expressed her belief in efficacy of prayer as prayer can solve various forms of challenges irrespective of the stage of the problems.
She admonished Christian and Muslim faithful to live an exemplary life that mirrors the life and virtues of God Almighty in order to restore the lost glory of the society.
The Osun Governor’s wife used the avenue to x-ray various achievements of her husband’s led administration and sought for continuous prayers from the citizens of the state for the present administration for successful tenure and sounding success in the forth coming governorship election in the state.
Speaking during the interreligious prayer programme, wife of the General Overseer, C.A.C Ori Oke Baba Abiye Ede, Pastor Mrs Adejoke Akande noted that women had major roles to play in politics urging them to support the present administration, ensure peace and tranquility among themselves.
Also speaking, Dr. Latifat Kolawole emphasized the need for political leaders to shun politics of bitterness and work towards a peaceful society as Osun prepares for governorship and general election.
Highlights of the event were prayer sessions in both Islamic and Christian ways for peaceful and successful election in Osun and Nigeria in general.
