The management of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso has disclosed that the institution will continue its academic activities for the First Semester of the 2021/2022 Academic Session on Thursday May 26, 2022.
This is contained in a statement by the registrar Dr Kayode Ogunleye.
According to the statement, the visitor has informed staff and students that the amended Academic Calendar for the semester will soon be made available.

CONTINUATION OF THE FIRST SEMESTER OF THE 2021/2022 ACADEMIC SESSION
Upon the directive of the Visitor to the University, the Management hereby informs all staff and students that the University will continue its academic activities for the First Semester of the 2021/2022 Academic Session on Thursday May 26, 2022.
The amended Academic Calendar for the semester will soon be made available.
Staff and students are hereby enjoined to abide with this directive.
On behalf of the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof M. O. Liasu, I welcome all students back to the campus and wish them a crisis-free semester” The statement reads.
JAC, SSANU, NASU, NAAT Kick Against Resumption
Meanwhile, the Joint Action Committee (JAC) comprising of SSANU, NASU and NAAT at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso have said they are not moved by the school management’s sudden announcement of resumption of activities on May 26,2022.
Speaking with journalists on Thursday, the Chairman of SSANU in LAUTECH, Comrade Fajoye Oyelere disclosed that its union at the National level has just extended the ongoing strike with another one month after a meeting held in Abuja on Wednesday.
Comrade Fajoye, who doubles as the JAC chairman noted that JAC members who have also been active on campus on concessions during the ongoing strike will also be withdrawn as from next week.
According to him, it has been resolved that the ongoing strike can only be considered to be suspended after the FGN/SSANU 2009 Agreement is renegotiated and a new salary structure for the university staff is approved.
