Former Oyo state Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a 2023 state House of Assembly aspirant, Wasiu Sadare has called on the leadership of the party to urgently address what he described as an anomaly over non-conduct of primary election in Egbeda state constituency.

Sadare alleged that against all expectations and anticipations, the party committee set up to conduct the said state assembly primary failed to show up at the designated venue leaving aspirants, leaders, stakeholders, and members of the party frustrated after 11 hours of waiting fruitlessly.

According to Sadare in his petition made available to newsmen on Saturday May 28, titled, “FAILURE TO CONDUCT PRIMARY ELECTION IN EGBEDA STATE CONSTITUENCY OF OYO STATE ON MAY 26, 2022 AND URGENT NEED TO ADDRESS THE ANOMALY” addressed to the Barrister Adeoye AbdulRasaq led Oyo APC Primary Election Appeal Committee, the House of Assembly hopeful is seeking among  other prayers that the party urgently look into the non-conduct of the primary with a view to doing so in earnest.
