The body of an astute Co – operative Societies Administrator and a community leader in Oyo state, Pa Gbadebo Ogundiran has been laid to rest in his home town, Iseyin after a church funeral service.
In his sermon titled “There is hope of life after death”, the Pastor in charge, First Baptist Church, Koso, Iseyin, Rev. Dr. Femi Aderibigbe explained certain scriptural realities about life, saying each man has a duration of time to spend on earth which is only determined by God.
Rev. Aderibigbe said Pa Ogundiran fulfilled a glorious destiny as an essence of life and cautioned people to beware of lifestyles that cut lives short.
The cleric who recalled some of the great contributions made by Pa Ogundiran towards the development of the 104 year old church and the growth of Iseyin community urged the children and others to take a cue.
A traditional leader, Chief Olaniyan Adesokan and a Co – operative Societies Administrator, Pa Eyinade Adeoti added their tributes to those earlier rendered by others during a night of wake.

“We want to make him a Chief and by the time I was discussing with him he said he did not come to the world to become a chief, but I told him we do not want to honour him after his death, he then said if God wish”
Also, one of late Pa Ogundiran’s children, Navy Captain Dayo Ogundiran and a grandchild, Champion Ogundiran recalled what they would miss about their departed patriarch.
“He was a teacher and my mentor and in the family he’s the one that used to check up on me the most”
Highpoint of the funeral was special choir ministrations, memorial presentation of gifts to the church and social entertainment of guests by the children.
The event, tagged celebrating the life of an icon was attended by eminent personalities, including serving supreme court judge, Justice Kayode Ariwoola and co – operative unionists across the Nigeria.
