A member of the  National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Ẹniola Komolafe deployed to Oyo State for the one-year, mandatory  National Service, has been presented the state’s NYSC Honours Award for outstanding performance.

She was presented the award during the passing out ceremony for 2021 Batch B stream 1 programme held at lekan Salami stadium  Adamasingba Ibadan.

Komolafe was posted to ADS high school Iwere -Ilé, Iwajowa local government where she displayed a very high sense of industry, determination and dynamism by distributing educational and writing materials to impact students of her host community.

The Corps member, Ẹniola Komolafe who hails from Ogun State holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy from University of Ilé-Ifẹ́.

Earlier, the Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde represented by the commissioner of Youths and Sports, Mr Seun Fokorade, while congratulating the Corps members for a successful completion of the service year, urged them to be self reliant in tackling the high rate of unemployment in the country.

Mr Fakorade said Oyo State scheme has been playing it’s expected roles towards the scheme without wavering.

“we have not relented in providing intervention in several ways because we know that NYSC is impacting positively on the well-being of the rural populace every sector of the economy.

In a Farewell address, Oyo State NYSC Coordinator, Mrs Grace Ogbuogebe said the outgoing Corps members had contributed immensely to the development of the society and the state in particular.

“My dear compatriots, having proved yourself  diligent in the course of the service year, I implore you to continue to toe the right path in life despite the challenges”

“Remember  the hope of our great nation is hinged on you, keep the flame burning confront the future with great zeal determination”

Mrs Ogbuogebe, therefore urged the Corps members to be good Ambassadors of the Scheme and continue to improve on the skills acquired under the SAED project.

Some outgoing Corps members, Sunday Temitope and Aisha Ibrahim promised to contribute their qouta to boost national development through various skills acquired during service year.

A total of five thousand,five hundred and ten corps members were deployed to Oyo state for the mandatory one year service year.

High point of the event was presentation of commendation to five outgoing Corp members.
