In Ekiti State, Public Private Nursery, Primary and Secondary Schools resumed on Monday for the first term 2022/2023 academic session.

As early as seven o’clock in the morning, pupils and students were seen trooping to their various schools just as some of them were seen at strategic junctions waiting for the school buses to convey them.

Radio Nigeria roving correspondent visited some schools including Deji Fasuan Model College, Afao Road, Sam/Jewel Nursery and Primary School, Elemi Community Primary School, New Creation Nursery and Primary School, Blue Crest Nursery and Primary School, Wisdom Nursery and Primary School, all in Ado-Ekiti.

At the schools, it was observed that prayers were offered on the Assembly Ground to usher in the new academic session.

Students were cautioned against indiscipline and acts against the school rules.

In an interview, some of the Head Teachers, Principals and proprietors of schools visited including, Mr Oluyemi Emmanuel of Sam/Jewel Schools and Mrs Mary Ajibua of New Creation Nursery and Primary School, said that academic activities had commenced in earnest, hence parents should allow their children to resume.

Also, some pupils and students interviewed expressed happiness over the resumption.
