The Police in Ogun State have arrested three men for allegedly snatching a car in Abeokuta.

The suspects include, Moses Abiodun, Seyi Oyenekan and Monsuru Majekodunmi.

The State Police spokesperson, Mr Abimbola Oyeyemi in a statement in Abeokuta said they were apprehended on the 9th of November,  2022, following a complaint lodged at the Oke-Itoku Police Station by one Olusesi Akingbile who reported that his Toyota Carina car parked in his house at Ijemo on October 12 2022, had been stolen by unknown persons.

Mr Oyeyemi told newsmen that messages were sent to all police formations in Ogun, asking them to be on the lookout for the missing car.

The police spokesperson who said the stolen car was sighted in a mechanic village along Ajebo Road, by police officers attached to Kemta explained further that the police, during preliminary investigations, had discovered that the suspect had two other accomplices.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Mr  Lanre Bankole, has ordered a thorough investigation of the suspects before they are charged to court.
