Brightsville College and Government College Ibadan played out a one-one draw in the opening match of the second edition of the Radio Nigeria Kids football challenge at the Loyola College football Pitch.

In the second match, Loyola College defeated Redeemers High School.

Okebadan High School and Ibadan Boys High School also ended their encounter with a one-one scoreline while the last match of the day saw Quiblah International defeating Ibadan Grammar School 3-0.

In his opening remark, the Zonal Director, Radio Nigeria Ibadan National Station, Mr Dominic Mokikan  thanked partners of the Radio Nigeria Kids Football Challenge which include Sumal foods, Indomie Noodles and Nigerian Breweries, for their support.

He noted that Radio Nigeria will in the nearest future take the tournament across all the South-West states.

Oyo State Commissioner for Education Science and Technology, Barrister Rahman Abiodun Abdul-Raheem represented by Permanent Secretary, Inspector General, Ibadan Educational Zone One, Mr Adeniyi Olusanjo said the importance of sports cannot be overemphasized as a tool for youth development.

Day 2 of the tournament saw Brightsville College Ibadan defeating Okebadan High School one goal to nil.

Loyola College also defeated Quiblah International School by a lone goal.

The final match of the day is ongoing between Government College Ibadan and Ibadan Boys High School.
