Comptroller Immigration Service, Oyo State Command, Mr Isah Dan-Suleiman has urged officers and men of the command to be upright while discharging their duties for better productivity.
Mr Dan-Suleiman stated this while inaugurating a crèche at its Headquarters Agodi, Ibadan facilitated by Immigration by Officers Wives Association, IMMOWA.
He said the newly-built crèche would enhance better performance of female officers who would concentrate more on their jobs once they are closer to their babies.
The Immigration boss, who appreciated the IMMOWA’s innovation, urged female officers to use the centre judiciously and ensure that they maintained it to last for a long period.
On her part, IMMOWA National Chairperson, who is also the wife of the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Mr Isah Jere, Hajia Maryam Jere said the opening of the crèche became imperative to assist female officers in order to fully concentrate on production.
She said since they now had their babies close to them at work, they would see their work as paramount.
Hajia Jere, therefore, called on male officers to always be ready to assist their female colleagues as well as take good care of their wives.
In a lecture, organised by IMMOWA, tagged “your health” the Assistant Director of Nursing, University Teaching Hospital, UCH, Mrs Omobosede Ayebameru said they should always take their health seriously by going for tests in order not to fall victim of diseases such as breast cancer.
