The Nigerian Army has called for a continuous partnership with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC to collectively wage war against insecurity bedevilling the nation. 

The new Commanding Officer 81 Battalion Nigerian Army Letmauck Cantonment Mokola Ibadan, Lieutenant Colonel MD Adamu made this known during a courtesy visit to the Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps at the Command State Headquarters old NITEL building Agodi Ibadan.

He promised to continue the cordial relationship that was already in existence between the two Security agencies for the protection of the lives and properties of the citizens of Oyo State.

While responding, the State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Mr Micheal Adaralewa commended the Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel  Adamu for the trust the Nigerian Army has in NSCDC and assured him of the Corps commitment to protecting lives and properties of the citizens as it was stated in their core mandate.

Mr Adaralewa noted that two thousand five hundred of his personnel had been deployed to the nooks and crannies of the State for proper policing during the Christmas and New Year festive periods. 

He stressed further that both Under-Cover, Agro Rangers, Counter Terrorism Unit, Female Special Squad and other officers of the Corps had been deployed accordingly throughout the State.

Commandant Adaralewa, therefore, admonished the citizens of the State to always furnish the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps or sister agencies with credible information whenever they noticed anything within their jurisdiction.
