Olumoru of Imoru in Ose local government area of Ondo State, Oba Rotimi Obamuwagun has urged the federal government to take the issue of insecurity with all the seriousness it deserves so that the country can be safe for the citizenry.

Oba Obamuwagun who made the call in a chat with positive fm on the security situation in the country noted that banditry and kidnapping were still rampant in some communities in the country noting that putting an end to crimes would accelerate the development of the country.

The monarch lamented that criminals were still terrorising Ose communities, kidnapping indigenes, raping women and girls and maiming farmers.

Oba Obamuwagun however commended Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for the establishment of the Amotekun security outfit which he said was complementing the efforts of the conventional security agencies in the state.

He therefore appealed to the government to establish a security post in Imoru community to tackle insecurity in the Ifon, Ajagba, Okeluse and Ute axis of Ondo state.

Oba Obamuwagun who is a veteran journalist also praised the media for reporting the spate of crime in the country especially in the northern part of the country where the banditry and kidnapping had continued unabated.
