It was a moment of rejoicing as members of staff of Premier FM converged on the Iyaganku premises to appreciate God’s faithfulness in their lives at the first Easter Cantata of the station.
In his message at the Easter Cantata, Pastor Sunday Olubukola of Destiny Redeemer Unction Church enjoined Christians to demonstrate the love of Christ to the world just as Jesus Christ demonstrated love when he was on Earth; this he said would make his name more pronounced.
In an interview, General Manager, Mr Adedamola Tinubu who was grateful to God said the motive behind the programme was to appreciate God for what he has done and to commit the future of the station to God’s hand.
Representing the Zonal Director, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Ibadan Zonal Station, Mr Dominic Mokikan, the Deputy Director Programmes, Reverend Niyi Dahunsi commended the new General Manager for starting his administration on a note of praise and prayer describing it as one of its kind.
He promised that the management would continue to create a conducive environment for the station to thrive.
Reverend Dahunsi enjoined members of staff to endeavour to contribute their quota towards the uplift of the station, adding that they could be rewarded by men or by God.
Participants in the programme gave praise to God for attending the first praise outreach of the station and prayed for progress for the station.
The event featured Bible readings and special songs from invited song ministers such as Crystal Black, Funmi Champion, Zion Worshippers Ministry Ibadan, Evangelist Bisi Ayodeji and Evangelist Gbenga Ayodele.
Also in attendance were members of the management committee of the station.
