Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Oyo State Sector has deployed one thousand seven hundred Officers and Special to strategic places in Ibadan and its environs for hitch-free Eid-El Fitri celebrations. 

This is contained in a statement signed in ibadan by FRSC Sector Public Education Officer Chijiokie Inyama.

The statement notes that the logistics also placed included twenty – two Vehicles, two ambulances, a tow truck and motorbikes for safe travel during and after the Eid –El Fitr.

The Sector Commander, Corps Commander, Mr Joshua Adekanye said that adequate personnel and logistics were deployed to enhance the Corps visibility on major critical road corridors to ensure free flow of traffic and reduction in Road Traffic Crashes.

Similarly,  Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps,  NSCDC, Oyo State Command has deployed 1705 personnel to places of worship, market, recreation centres and highways to beef up security before, during and after the Eid-el Fitr celebration.

NSCDC Commandant in Oyo state, Dr. Micheal Adaralewa made this known while addressing the personnel of the corps on the mode of operation during the holiday for the Eid-el Fitr celebration at the Command State Headquarters Old Nitel building, Agodi Ibadan.

He charged the tactical Units which include Anti Vandal, Counterterrorism, Agro Ranger and Female special Squad Unit to double their efforts in their quest to provision of adequate Security to the good people of Oyo State and to also ensure the adequate protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructures in the State during the celebration.

While assuring residents and members of the public of adequate protection of lives and property during the celebration, he urged them to be extra vigilant and report any suspicious acts or movement to Oyo NSCDC or sister agencies.
