Osun Assembly Sets Up Adhoc Committee for 8th Assembly Inauguration

The Management of the Osun State House of Assembly has approved the setting up of seven Ad hoc Committees to take charge of different aspects of the upcoming inauguration of the 8th assembly.

This is aimed at facilitating a smooth and seamless Inauguration exercise for the 26 returning Legislators. 

The Committees included Publicity Committee, Protocol/Invitation Committee, Security Crowd Control Committee, Entertainment Committee, Technical Committee, Sanitation Committee, and Medical Committee. 

Inaugurating the Committees, The Clerk of The House, Mr Simeon Amusan was set up to foresee the smooth Legislative transition process from the 7th Assembly to the 8th Assembly scheduled for the 6th of next month.

Mr. Amusan commended members of staff for their support in ensuring the success of the 7th Assembly which is winding up. 

While urging members of the committees to work in synergy to attain a successful event, The Clerk also directed them to give a comprehensive report of their activities at the end of The Programme.

Also, the Chairman of, the Publicity Committee, Mr, Laide Lawal said positive recommendations geared towards ensuring the success of the Transition of the 7th Assembly to the 8th Assembly.

Also, Mr Amusan used the occasion to commission Caretaker Members of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria, PASAN, Osun State House of Assembly Chapter, headed by Mr. Adekunle Adeshina. 

Mr. Adeshina who appreciated the management of the Assembly solicited more support from members to take the union to greater heights and gave the assurance that he would engage in dialogue in driving home the union demands at the required time.
