More Action is needed to Discourage Discrimination against Albinism

Actions must be taken against all forms of discrimination against Albinism.

State South West Coordinator of Albinism Network Association, ANA, Mr Muyiwa Abegunde stated this on the occasion of this year’s World Albinism Day.

Mr Abegunde in a statement notes that South West Albinism Network Association, ANA, is set to mark the United Nation’s International Albinism Awareness Day with different mapped out programmes to commemorate the day in Ekiti, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Ogun and Lagos State.

While speaking on the theme of the celebration which is ‘Inclusion Is Strength’, the statement notes that the international community has come together to highlight the continuing stigma and discrimination against persons with albinism, against which states must take action.
