Adequate support from government and well-meaning Nigerians will go a long way in enhancing the welfare of the vulnerable and less-privileged in orphanages.

The Manager, Janet Bankole Children’s Home and Orphanage, Kemta/Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Mr Olamide Oladipo made the plea while receiving the management of Radio Nigeria Paramount FM, on a visit, as part of activities marking the twentieth anniversary of the station.

Mr Oladipo, who disclosed that the main objective of the Children’s Home was to care, stabilise and re- integrate less privileged children back into their family, pointed out that nothing was too small to offer to the home as assistance from well-meaning individuals.

He expressed joy over the gift items which included foods, drinks and toiletries, donated by Paramount FM, stating that it would go a long way in taking care of all the categories of children including orphans, abandoned, abused, neglected and indigent, accommodated in the Home.

In a remark, the General Manager, Paramount FM Abeokuta, Mr Akinyinka Akintola commended the management of Janet Bankole Children’s Home and Orphanage for the social services rendering to the less privileged children, and promised the readiness of the Station to collaborate with them in making life more comfortable for the children.
