The All Progressives Congress, APC in Osun State has expelled 84 of its members across various local governments of the state for anti party activities.

In a statement by the state Chairman of the party, Chief Tajudeem Lawal, the APC said the step became necessary to ensure discipline among members and to ensure the party’s philosophy was not compromised.

According to Chief Lawal, the disciplinary process was democratic as the affected party members were investigated and invited to defend themselves.

“Following complaints of anti-party activities, the State Executive Committee of the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) constituted a Disciplinary Committee to investigate the allegations against some members.

This disciplinary measure came in response to the allegations of misconduct and actions that embarrassed and brought the party to disrepute.

The Disciplinary Committee undertook a thorough and impartial review of the allegations and the findings were carefully deliberated upon by the State Executive Committee.” The statement reads.

The affected members included Mr Biyi Odunlade who is already serving as a state Commissioner in the present PDP administration in the state, as well as former Secretary of the APC, Chief Rasak Saninsile who was appointed as the Chairman of the Teaching Service Commission by the PDP administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke,but rejected it.

The statement however calls on party members to remained united and work in the best interest of the APC.

“As we move forward, we enjoin our members to remain focused on our goals and continue working together to serve the interests of our constituents and our State.

 Our commitment to transparency, inclusivity, and adherence to our party’s core values remains unwavering.”
