Two people have been feared dead while one person sustained serious injury in fatal crash that occured on Abeokuta-Lagos road around otta toll-gate
The accident which occurred at about eleven minutes past five this morning involved a Volvo Trailer marked T-14223LA, a Volkswagen with registration number KRD132XX and two motorcycles marked LAR178VL and PKA873VS.
The Public Education Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Ogun sector command, Mrs Florence Okpe confirmed the incident in a statement in Abeokuta.
According to Mrs Okpe, the suspected cause of the fatal crash was wrongful overtaking and excessive speed on the part of the truck driver which led to collision on other vehicles.
She said the presumed dead victims had been deposited at Ifo General Hospital Morgue.
Mrs Okpe said the sector commander, Mr Anthony Uga cautioned motorists to always drive defensively by considering other vehicles on the road.
He also emphasized that drivers should always maintain the required speed limit while driving.
