Dignitaries, Royal Fathers Turn up for Iyake Festival

Prominent people including traditional rulers and government officials have graced this year’s Iyake International festival in Ado Awaye, Araromi local council development area, Iseyin.

Among them were Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dr Wasiu Olatunbosun, who represented Governor Seyi Makinde, Alageere of Ago-are, Oba Uthman Babatunde, Ona-onibode of Igboho, Oba Abdulrasheed Anikulapo, Olokaka of Okaka land, Oba Azeez Olatunji, Mr. Mufutau Abilawon Chairman, Iseyin local government, and the Iwajowa counterpart, Mr Jelili Oyinloye among others.

Speaking with newsmen in Ado Awaye, Chairman, Araromi LCDA, Mr Timothy Ogunleke lauded Alado of Ado-Awaye, Oba Ademola Olugbile for the success of the festival.

Mr Ogunleke thanked the residents of Ado Awaye for supporting the festival.

He urged the Governor of Oyo state, Engineer Seyi Makinde, to continue promoting Iyake suspended lake to attract local and International tourists to the town.

Mr Ogunleke requested the contributions of wealthy individuals and corporate bodies in the development of Ado Awaye.
