The Osun State Appropriation Bill 2024 tagged “Reconstruction and Recovery” is designed to improve the economy of the state and the well-being of residents. 

The Chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, Mr. Saheed Fatunmise stated this while explaining the policy thrust of the 2024 Appropriation Bill during a plenary held at the State Assembly Complex, Osogbo.

Mr. Fatunmise, who stressed that the Budget when passed into Law would reduce the Poverty rate in the State to the barest minimum, commended the State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke in fulfilling the section 121 sub-section of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

In separate contributions, members representing Ola- Oluwa – Mr. Abiodun Ibrahim, Ife South – Mr Lawrence Adeoti, Obokun – Prince Adewunmi Adeyemi , Olorunda – Mr. Olaide Ajibola ,Ife- Central – Mr. Abiola Awoyeye and Oriade – Barrister Kanmi Ajibola explained that the Budget is all-encompassing and indicates that the State Governor has good plans for the Residents.

In his remark, The Speaker of the House, Prince Adewale Egbedun who appreciated the various contributions of the Legislators explained that the appearance of Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs for Budget Defense would commence next week.

On the 9th of this month, the State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke presented the 2024 Appropriation Bill with an estimate of Two Hundred and Seventy – Three Billion naira before the State House of Assembly.
