The Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has advised Corps members posted to the state to embrace the virtue

of selfless service and humility during their service year.

Governor Adeleke gave the advice at the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp Ede, during the closing ceremony and terminal parade of the 2023 Batch C, stream I orientation course.

Represented by his Deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi, the Governor noted that the business of nation-building and integration required selflessness, sacrifice and humility.

“Therefore, let these virtues be your watchword throughout the service year. Be diplomatic in your dealings with the people, and be courteous and respectful at all times. Do not cast aspersion on their way of life but rather respect and embrace their diversity.”

Senator Adeleke implored them to embrace the challenges that lie ahead with enthusiasm and resilience, adding that their service year is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the communities where they will be posted.

He,  however, assured them of the Osun State Government’s unwavering support and commitment to their welfare throughout the service year.

Earlier, the State Coordinator, of NYSC in Osun, Mr Ndoma Obim charged the corps members to embrace diversity, be responsible citizens, and strive for excellence in their various places of primary assignment.

He reminded them that they were now ambassadors of unity and positive change in Osun State, Lagos State and any State they may redeploy to for those of them going on redeployment.

“I also want to remind you that the NYSC Scheme is not just about service to your nation; it is also an opportunity for personal growth and development. Make the most of it, and you will not only impact the communities you serve but also transform yourselves in the process.” He said.
