President Bola Tinubu will soon unveil a national value charter for Nigerians.

The Director-General of the National Orientation Agency, NOA, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu announced this while addressing journalists during a working visit to Ondo State.

Mallam Issa-Onilu noted that the target of the national value charter was to bring back the forgotten core values, norms and revive the patriotic spirit of all Nigerians.

Our correspondent reports that the NOA DG who was at the palace of the paramount ruler of the Akure Kingdom, the Deji of Akureland, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi emphasized traditional and religious rulers’ involvement in the rebirth of lost values in the country.

He further stated that NOA would soon organise a workshop for traditional rulers in the country to get them actively involved in national affairs since they were the custodians of tradition and were closest to the people.

In response, Oba Aladelusi expressed delight with the national value charter implementation by President Bola Tinubu.

Oba Aladetoyinbo advocated roles for traditional rulers in the constitution.

The monarch also appealed for peace, unity, tolerance and dialogue among factions, and labour leaders in the country and expressed faith in a prosperous Nigeria under the present administration.

The highlight of the visit was a presentation of traditional attires and a national flag to the Deji of Akure.

Top directors of the National Orientation Agency led by the Ondo State Director, Princess Adelayo Adefolalu and chiefs in Akure Kingdom received the NOA DG, Mallam Issa-Onilu.
