NIS to Allow Nigerians with Expired Passports into the Country

The Nigerian Immigration Service says Nigerians with expired passports should not be denied entry into the country.

In a short post on its X handle, the NIS says an expired passport is a valid means of identification.

”We sent out a document (again) in this regard to embassies, high commissions, concerned parties and airlines in this regard”

”You can’t refuse a Nigerian (with valid means of identity – expired or not) into his/her country”
