The aggrieved workers under the aegis of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, NANNM, protested within the hospital premises with different placards with inscriptions including, “Nurses workload is enough for promotion”, “Stop Selective Promotion” among others.

The nurses also expressed displeasure over what they described as harsh working conditions, asking the management of the hospital to address their promotion arrears, shortage of staff and other rights.

The NANNM Chairman, FMC, Abeokuta Chapter, Comrade Olufunmilayo Adekunle said the protest was to demand for the papers of the promotional examination.
