The corpse of a serving corps member, Emmanuel Medaiyese has been discovered in his apartment in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

The Corps member was assumed to have been dead for some days in his apartment at Sogbesan street, Oluwo area of the city before the discovery of his corpse.

Report says that his mother, concerned that she was unable to reach him on his mobile phone, had reportedly contacted one of his friends, Olumide, who eventually asked neighbours of the deceased to access the apartment where Emmanuel’s lifeless body was discovered.

Confirming the incident, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola said the corps member was found without any visible sign of violence.

She explained that the police team that visited the scene observed that there were no indications that any crime was committed, adding that the Corpse had been deposited at the State hospital for Autopsy and further investigation would be carried by the command.
