Ogun State government says it will strategically review and stabilize the informal transport sector to ensure that the growth and security agenda of the present administration is not altered.

Commissioner for Transportation, Mr Olugbenga Dairo stated this while reacting to the issue between the National Union of Road Transport Workers NURTW and the Ogun State Park Management Board, OGSPAM.

Mr Dairo, who noted that the state government was determined to stabilise and resolve the issue amicably, said efforts were made by officials of the state and other stakeholders towards restoring peaceful transport activities across the state.

Mr Dairo, who noted that the government, based on its observations, would set in motion the needed steps to stabilise the system, apologized to the people of the state for any inconveniences the crisis might have caused.

He urged the unions’ leadership to pursue peace in the discharge of their duties.
