Ondo to Collaborate with NIS on Illegal Immigrants

The Ondo State Government will collaborate with the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS to get rid of illegal immigrants in the state.

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa gave the assurance when he hosted the Comptroller of Immigration, Ondo State Command, Mrs Grace Adeoye in his office.

Governor Aiyedatiwa said his administration was also finalizing plans to secure operational vehicles for all security agencies to support them in carrying out their duties.

Earlier, the Comptroller of Immigration, Ondo State, Mrs Adeoye disclosed that immigration was not only into passport production but also into the arrest of illegal migrants and other criminal activities that deal with the trafficking of persons.

She said immigration officers had also been trained to identify foreigners constituting a nuisance.
