 In a bid to further broaden the knowledge of students, the management of Citadel Model School, Ayegun Oleyo, Ibadan has embarked on an excursion to the Broadcasting House of Radio Nigeria, Dugbe, Ibadan.

The students, who were conducted around various facilities and departments were also exposed to stages in news and programme packaging and  transmission to the public

 Narrating their experience, three students of the school, Precious Awobotu, Pamilerin Adegbite and Joy Iyiola said besides the Recording Studio, Live Studio and Library, they were also shown the control room which serves as the last gatekeeper of information exiting the station to the public.

Speaking on the choice of Radio Nigeria for the excursion, the Proprietress, of Citadel Model School, Evangelist Grace Adegbite said Radio Nigeria not only hosted professional broadcasters but also had ancient and modern broadcast gadgets that competed with other media establishments in the world.

The Citadel Model School proprietress,  who said the visit would further enhance the career choice of the students in the future, urged the management of other private schools to prioritize the excursion of their pupils to Radio Nigeria.

Evangelist Adegbite, while commending Radio Nigeria for uplifting the people and uniting the nation through its educative, informative and entertainment programmes stressed the need for the station to continue to uphold its frontline position of excellent broadcasting.
