The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Osun State Command has again cautioned Motorists against actions capable of leading to road crashes.

The Sector Commander, Mr Inyang Umoh made the call during the One-Day Stakeholders Meeting with transport and road unions with the theme: Accomplish 5% Reduction in Road Traffic Deaths and Injuries held at FRSC Command Hall, Abere.

Mr. Umoh, who was represented by the Deputy Corps Commander, Mrs Medinat Akanbi stressed the need for road users to be safety conscious by abiding by the traffic rules and regulations.

Mr. Umoh warned that the command under his watch would ensure offenders when apprehended are dealt with under the Constitution.

In a remark, the representative of the State Commissioner for Police, Mr Samson Ogunmola frowned at the attitude of some motorists who were in the habit of making and receiving calls while driving.

In her words, the Public Education Officer of the Command, SRC Agnes Ogungbemi warned Lamenco road users to avoid plying one way, due to the ongoing road construction and advised them to ply alternative route for motorists.

The meeting witnessed the presence of representatives from other security agencies in the state, transport union members, and media practitioners amongst others.
