The member representing, Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency of Osun State, Mr. Wole Oke says the people of Ijesa North are being neglected under the present administration led by Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Mr. Oke who stated this on his Facebook page explained that leaders and members of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Ijesa North, laboured hard to install the present government.
The federal lawmaker expressed dissatisfaction that after two years of Senator Adeleke being in office, only a 1.5-kilometre road has been the major developmental project executed in Obokun and Oriade Local Governments.
Mr. Oke recalled that former Governor Rauf Aregbesola established the Bola Ige Mechatronics Institute in Esa Oke, appointed an Esa-Oke son, as a member of the Board Governing Council and Former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola also made a remarkable impact in Ijesha North Federal Constituency.
The federal lawmaker stressed that Ipetu-Ijesa Town with 54 Villages has over 10,000-vote capacity, hence without Ipetu-Ijesa votes nobody can win any election.
Meanwhile, Ijesha North political appointees including Mr Mayowa Adejorin, Prince Bayo Ogungbangbe and Otunba Tola Faseru refuted the claims of Mr Oke saying the present administration was the first to appoint three commissioners from Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency.
They explained that the present administration had embarked on the full rehabilitation and renovation of 13 Primary Health Centers, installed motorized deep wells in schools, and constructed classrooms in more than 8 schools across Oriade and Obokun Towns.
The political appointees described it as unfortunate that a long-serving representative of the people would spread such misinformation to mislead the constituents in the Ijesha North Federal Constituency.
