In a bid to enhance the capacity of its legislative staff, the Oyo State House of Assembly Service Commission has organised a 2-day training programme for officers on Grade Levels 3-7.
The workshop, which kicked off on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, was designed to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Mr Adebo Ogundoyin, emphasized the importance of capacity building for legislative staff.
He noted that the staff play a crucial role in the effective functioning of the legislative service, and it is imperative to invest in their growth and development.
Mr Ogundoyin, who is also the Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures, expressed his vision to fortify the value and capacity of legislative staff across all state legislatures.

He commended the Oyo State House of Assembly Service Commission for organizing the training program, which aligns with Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration’s efforts to enhance the capacity and productivity of public servants.
The Chairman of the Oyo State House of Assembly Service Commission, Mr Femi Okedoyin who welcomed participants to the training program, emphasized the importance of enhancing the skills and knowledge of legislative staff.
In their separate goodwill messages, Chairman, Civil Service Commission, Alhaji Kamorudeen Aderibigbe, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Training and Establishment, Mr Taiwo Mustapha, and Clerk of the House, Mrs Muraina Taiwo Akinola, enjoined the participants to leverage on the opportunity provided by OYHASC to advance their career and contribute to the development of the Commission.
