Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has described the fire incident which razed Aleshinloye Market as disastrous.
He said this during a sympathy visit paid to the market.
Governor Seyi Makinde, who spoke through the deputy governor, Bayo Lawal leading the delegation for on-spot assessment, said the fire incident has greatly affected the economies of the affected traders.
He noted that the preliminary report revealed that the fire, which broke out from the polymer and plastic section of the market, contributed immensely to the enormity of the fire incident.
Governor Makinde while affirming his readiness to assist the affected traders, noted that quicker supports would be extended through the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA and its sister agency, the State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA while a comprehensive report would be critically considered.
Governor Makinde, however, urged the leaders and other traders of the market to cooperate with the present administration for an enviable development in the markets.
