Nigerian leaders have been told to do the needful for the nation’s citizens to make the country safer and more comfortable for all.
The cleric in charge of Trinity House, Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, gave the advice while delivering a sermon at the funeral service of a former Chief Accountant at the University of Ibadan, Rachel Olufunke Olatunbosun.
Pastor Ighodalo explained that the federal government must sustain its efforts while providing the needed logistics to conquer the challenge.
The cleric urged Nigerians to ensure the right candidates are voted for in the off-season elections in some states and during the 2027 general election.
He said death is an inevitable occurrence to mankind and urged people to be closer to God while living a purposeful life.
Pastor Ighodalo encouraged the congregation to always give thanks and live in harmony with others.
Mrs Ayoade Alakija and Mrs Yetunde Okulaja described their mother as a prayer warrior who was concerned about the progress of her children.
Speaking on behalf of the Deji of Akure Kingdom, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi, the Barafon of Akure Kingdom, Chief Adekunle Majasan, said the late Princess Olatunbosun has proved herself as a true ambassador of Akure Kingdom and urged the children to emulate the virtues left behind by their mother.
Also, friends, the religious group to which Late Princess Olatunbosun belonged, and other family members, took turns sharing tributes about the deceased.
Princess Rachel Olatunbosun, aged 90, was a granddaughter of the late Deji of Akure, Oba Afunbiowo Adesida.
