The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Osun State Command, says a young girl of unknown identity has been brought to its office by concerned members of the public.
In a statement, the command’s Public Relations Officer, Mrs Kehinde Adeleke, says the girl is estimated to be between 15 and 16 years old.
Mrs Adeleke explained that the teenager is both deaf and mute and has been unable to provide any useful information about her identity, family, or place of residence.
She added that the command, under the leadership of Commandant Igbalawole Sotiyo, appealed to members of the public who may have any information that could help identify the girl or locate her family to come forward and assist.
