Gateway United Football Club of Ogun State have secured their first three points of the season following their one-nil win over Crown FC of Ogbomosho in a matchday two of Nigeria National League, NNL, encounter.

The Akeem Busari-led team had lost zero-three to Joy Cometh of Lagos in their season opening game last weekend. 

Seyi Okeowo got the only goal of the match in a tension-soaked encounter played at the M.K.O International Stadium, Kuto Abeokuta.

Speaking after the match, the Head coach of Gateway United FC, Akeem Busari who described the team as a work in progress said the players would get better as the season progresses.

On his part, Coach Oladuni Oyekale of Crown Football Club, said the inability of his team to play the opening game of the season accounted for the loss.

For their next game, Gateway United will travel to Warri for a date with J Atete FC for a mid-week encounter.
