Four persons have been presumed dead while 12 other people sustained varying degrees of injuries in a fatal crash that occurred in Fidiwo, Obafemi Owode local government area of Ogun state.
The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Ogun State, Mr. Ahmed Umar confirmed the crash in a statement in Abeokuta.
Mr. Umar said the accident involved a commercial bus marked APP 111 XM and HOWO tanker with no registration number on it.
He said the four people presumed dead were male adults while nine male adults and three female adults sustained injuries.
Mr. Umar blamed the suspected cause of the crash on excessive speeding.
He pointed out that the injured victims had been taken to private Hospitals in Ogere and Sagamu while bodies of the dead victims were deposited at a morgue in Ipara, Ogun state
While commiserating with families of the victims, The Sector Commander cautioned motorists against speed violations.
