Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Governors Forum, have joined scores of mourners to pay condolences to Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, over the demise of his brother, Engineer Sunday Makinde. 

Bauchi State Governor and the Chairman of the forum, Bala Mohammed and Rivers State’s Governor, Siminalaye Fubara who is the Vice Chairman, brought the condolence message of the forum to Governor Makinde at his Ikolaba residence. 

Delivering the message, the chairman of the forum, Governor Mohammed, said despite knowing Governor Makinde to be a strong person, there is a need to show solidarity to the bereaved as an African tradition. 

Governor Mohammed said the deceased; Sunday Makinde lived a fulfilled life, having contributed positively to the growth and development of Nigeria. 

The Bauchi State Governor, prayed to God to give Governor Makinde, the immediate family of the deceased and the people of the state, fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. 

Responding, Governor Makinde, admitting that God is unquestionable, said the inevitable occurred to his brother when he was about to settle down and enjoy life. 

Governor Makinde, on behalf of the Makinde family and the people of Oyo State, appreciated the PDP Governors Forum for the visit. 

Meanwhile, Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, also joined his colleagues for the visit.
