The Zonal Director of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Ibadan Zonal Station, Mr. Olufemi Fulani says he would do all within his capacity to transform the stations under Ibadan Zone, Positively.

Mr. Fulani stated this while addressing staff of Radio Nigeria, Gold FM ilesa in Osun State.

While emphasizing the need for members of staff to embrace new changes, Mr. Fulani explained that new innovations would pave the way for good results.

The Zonal Director, who lauded  staff of  Gold fm for their perseverance,  implored them to give more support to the station’s General Manager for the progress of the station.

Earlier , the General Manager, Gold fm Ilesa, Mrs. Olukemi Oni described the New Zonal Director as a man who possessed the required experience to paddle the canoe of Ibadan Zonal Station for its development.

Mrs Oni appreciated the support of members of Staff in their efforts to restore the lost glory of Gold FM, ilesa.

A cross-section of stakeholders in Osun State want persons with disability to have equal opportunity and access to good healthcare, education and justice with other people in the country.

They made the call in Osogbo at the inauguration of the State Disability Inclusion Project for September 2021 to August 2022 designed by the Albino Foundation and other Civil Society Organizations, CSOs.

According to the organizers of the event, which are mostly non-governmental bodies, including the Osun State Ministries of Health, Education, and Justice, the Disability Inclusion Project sponsored by the Disability Rights Foundation, is to facilitate easy access to basic needs of persons with disability in government departments and agencies.

They appreciated the efforts of government at making life better for them but lamented the stigmatization and the attitude of other members of the public to their disabilities.

Speaking on the project, some stakeholders, including the General Manager, Radio Nigeria Gold FM, Mr. Adedamola Tinubu, promised that the station would continue to promote peaceful coexistence, as well as show love and care to the persons with disabilities.

In a remark, the Chairman of the Project Advocacy Steering Committee, Mr. Bukola Idowu, pledged that the members would do everything possible to improve the understanding of key officers of the ministries of Education, Health and Justice on disability inclusion, thereby engendering imoroved inclusion and accessibility to better services for persons with disabilities.

Earlier, the Convener and Chief Executive Officer, Albino Foundation, Mr. Jake Epelle, explained that the Disability Inclusion Project was to influence government policies and programmes in Osun State towards promoting inclusion and mainstreaming of disability for equal access to services and intervention.

Mr. Epelle emphasized the need for the Advocacy Steering Committee to work together with other stakeholders and create a conducive society for persons with disability to live in.

National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, says it will continue to training its corps in various vocational skills to make them self-reliant.

The Osun State coordinator of the scheme, Mr Adewale Adegoke stated this while playing host to the management of Gold FM, Ilesa in his office.

Mr Adegoke noted that the vocational training of the corps members became imperative in the face of high unemployment crisis in the country.

He lauded Radio Nigeria Gold FM for its ingenuity and creativity in the design of its programmes and promotion of professionalism.

In a remark, the General Manager, Gold FM, Ilesa, Mr Damola Tinubu said NYSC had remained a pillar of national cohesion and unity.

Mr Tinubu assured the scheme of the readiness of the station to continue to partner with the scheme in the area of publicity and sensitization.

He promised that Radio Nigeria would continue to maintain its leading role in broadcasting industry through promotion of professionalism.

The National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP, says it would enhance its sensitization campaign to create more awareness on dangers embedded in human trafficking.

Osun State Zonal Commander of the agency, Mr Mustapha Ajara stated this in Osogbo while playing host to the management of Radio Nigeria, Gold FM, Ilesa.

Mr Ajara who noted that the agency would continue to adopt measures for eradication of trafficking in person, said the agency had convicted many offenders of the crime.

The state commander solicited the assistance of the media organization in the area sensitization and campaign so as to reduce incident of trafficking in the state.

He called on relevant stakeholders in the state to continue to support the agency with useful information to enhance its operations.

In a remark, the General Manager, Gold FM Ilesa, Mr Damola Tinubu lauded the agency for its ingenuity in eradicating trafficking in the state, saying trafficking was inhuman and unacceptable in a civilized society.

Mr Tinubu assured the agency of the readiness of Gold FM to collaborate with the agency in the area of publicity, campaign and sensitization.

The General Manager, Gold FM, Ilesa, Mr Adedamola Tinubu says broadcasting industry is key to socioeconomic and political development of the nation.

Mr Tinubu stated this in Osogbo when he paid a visit to the Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of Rave FM, Mr Femi Adefila in his office.

The General Manager who noted radio stations in the state should not see themselves as competitors but partners for the good of the society.

He lauded Rave FM for the promotion of professionalism and urged the station to sustain the tempo.

In a remark, the CEO of Rave FM, Mr Femi Adefila who said Radio Nigeria remained the flagship of broadcasting in Nigeria extolled the virtues of the station in the area of training and retraining of its workforce.

Mr Adefila however called for a synergy between radio stations in the state for collective bargaining and promotion of common interest.
