It was a day of tributes as family, colleagues, community and church members threw a colourful celebration to mark the posthumous 60th Birthday of Deaconess Mary Adenike Ajisefinni
The ceremony which had in attendance retired and serving members of staff of radio Nigeria Ibadan, the Christ Apostolic Church Family ,members of Koguo Quarters Landlords and landladies association, journalists, and dignitaries from all works life joined the husband, a retired Deputy Director news and current affairs, radio Nigeria Ibadan Zonal Station, Elder Denrele Ajisefini to reflect on her virtues while alive.
Late Deaconess Ajisefinni an educationist, had an over decades teaching experience with positive impacts and rose to the position of principal at Anglican Grammar School Junior, Molete, Ibadan before her demise on 23rd October last year.
In their separate tributes, permanent secretary Tescom zone one, Alhaja Olalere Azeez and the husband mate in Olukoti Grammar School Old Students Association, Mrs Yetunde Adelanwa described the late Deaconess Ajisefinni as respectful, dedicated and God fearing.
Commenting, General Secretary Christ Apostolic Church Agbala Itura Worldwide, Pastor Leye olokose and the Secretary Nigeria union of Pensioners, Comrade Olusegun Abatan, who prayed for the repose of her soul urged families and guests to emulate the positive traits of the deceased so they could be celebrated after death.
Public Relations Officer of Koguo Quarters Landlords and landladies Association Mr. Yomi Atilola, described the late Deaconess Ajisefinni as a no nonsense woman, good disciplinarian and caring saying she always assists in transporting children in the community to their schools whenever she sets out to work.
Husband of the deceased, Elder Denrele Ajisefinni who summed up the totality of the wife’s legacy as humble and impacting eulogized her for being supportive, loving and obedient adding that none could fill the vaccum her death had created.
Elder Ajisefinni explained that her indelible impacts as a wife and dedicated educationist prompted the colourful ceremony to honour her even in death and promised that her legacy would be sustain by the family she left behind.
