The remains of the late Mrs Dorothy Opatunji have been laid to rest with a charge on Christians to avoid stockpiling materials resources and earthly treasures, but to invest in developing humanity. 

The Dean, Cathedral Of St Peter, Ake, Abeokuta, the Venerable Samuel Omidiji gave the charge in a sermon at the funeral service held in honour of the deceased. 

In the sermon entitled “Lay your Treasures In Heaven” the Venerable Omidiji, emphasized the importance of Salvation and reminded the people that  everyone was a sojourner on earth.

Describing the deceased as an ardent believer and committed Christian, the clergyman urged the Children, Families and well wishers to build on her legacy of selfless service to God and kindness to people around them.

All the children, step children and family members of the late Madam Dorothy Adeteju Opatunji, including the former Zonal Director, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, Ibadan Zonal Station, Mrs Bolatito Joseph, promised to keep her memory alive. 

Mrs Joseph prayed God for the repose of Madam Adeteju’s soul, describing her as an extra ordinary step – mother who would be greatly missed by the family.

Dignatries at the event included the Alake and Paramount ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, represented by Chief Tajudeen Oladeyinde.

Activities for the celebration of life were later continued at the Bishop’s Court, Onikolobo, Abeokuta with the reception of guests.

Workers retiring from government service have been told to ensure they properly mentor those behind them to sustain their legacies.

Zonal Director, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN Ibadan, Mrs Bolatito Joseph stated this at the send-off for Mr Bashiru Olatubosun a staff of the Audit Department of FRCN, Ibadan.

Mrs Joseph, who described the retiring staff member as diligent and well-groomed, urged others behind him to emulate his style on the job.

Earlier, the Deputy Director, Internal Audit, FRCN, Ibadan, Alhaji Abdulrasheed Akande described Mr Olatunbosun as the department’s oldest and most experienced man.

The celebrant, Mr Olatunbosun appreciated God as well as Radio Nigeria the platform through which he served humanity.

The event featured gift presentation as well as a short drama.

The Ogun State House of Assembly, OGHA, says it will offer continuous support and partnership to the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, for the growth and development of the Ogun State.

The speaker, OGHA, Mr Olakunle Oluomo stated this while playing host to the management team of FRCN Ibadan Zonal Station (which comprises all the Southwest states excluding Lagos), led by the Zonal Director, Mrs Bolatito Joseph. 

Mr Oluomo noted that the corporation had continued to project the activities of the OGHA positively. 

Earlier, the Zonal Director, FRCN Ibadan Zonal Station, Mrs Bolatito Joseph had solicited the support of the OGHA in the area of jingles and programmes broadcast to project the activities of the assembly better.

Mrs Joseph reiterated the commitment of the corporation at disseminating unbiased information at all times.

On the entourage of the Zonal Director were the General Manager, Paramount FM Abeokuta, Mr Akinyinka Akintola, Manager Programmes of the station, Mr Dapo Oyekanmi and his News counterpart, Mrs Oluremi Olugbenro among other members of the management team.
