The officers and men of the SO-SAFE Corps has arrested a man, Zeniteni Sojineh for allegedly stealing a motorcycle on farmland at Ileba, Ilaro, in Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun state.

The Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, Mr. Moruf Yusuf said in a statement in Abeokuta that the suspect had joined the team to conduct search for the stolen motorcycle.

Mr Yusuf pointed out that it was in the process of the search that the suspect was found out to be the culprit of the crime.

He explained that the suspect allegedly confessed voluntary to the crime and took the officers and men of the corps to the place where he had used grass to cover the motorcycle.

Mr Yusuf said the suspect had been transferred to the Nigeria Police Force, Ilaro Divisional Police Headquarters for further investigation and prosecution.

Five hundred households in Yewa South and Ewekoro Local Government Areas of Ogun State have benefitted from the distribution of food items by wife of the state governor, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun.

The beneficiaries that comprised the aged, women and the vulnerable lauded the efforts of Mrs. Abiodun to cushion the economic hardship experienced by the people.

The beneficiaries in the areas unanimously expressed their appreciation to the Wife of the Governor for catering for the needy and less privileged in the society urging her not to relent in her humanitarian services to the people of the state.

According to the Press officer attached to office of the Wife of the Governor, Kemi Oyeleye, items distributed included rice, beans, garri, pasta, semolina and seasonings among others to further cushion the effects of the lockdown following the Covid-19 pandemic.
