Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, says his government will complete all abandoned projects in the state to ensure that state get value for its money.

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Taiwo Adisa notes that the Governor stated this during Thanksgiving service in respect of his 100 days in office at the St. Peter’s Cathedral, Aremo, Ibadan.

According to the Governor, his government is yet to commence new projects as he was determined to complete all abandoned projects.

Governor Makinde promised that the present administration in Oyo would ensure that the people derive value for their money on every project.

Earlier, the Provost of the church, The Very Reverend Adewale Adebiyi, who preached on the topic: “Thanksgiving: The Road to Success,” described Governor Makinde as a wise man for showing full commitment to the welfare of the people through prompt payment of workers’ salaries and pensions as well as free education.

Reverend Adebiyi lamented that most leaders in Nigeria and mostly people of the black race often demonstrate lack of wisdom by allowing ego and self-centeredness to dominate them.
