FUOYE Constitutes Panel to Investigate Students Unrest

The Vice Chancellor, Federal University Oye Ekiti, Professor Kayode Soremekun has set up a twelve man investigative panel to unravel immediate and remote causes of Tuesday’s protest that led to attacks on the wife of Ekiti State Governor, Erelu Bisi Fayemi and death of two people.

In a statement in Oye Ekiti, Professor Soremekun, who said that the step was part of measures to prevent such occurrence and promote academic excellence, also condemned the dastardly act and promised to sanitize the university system.

The twelve-man panel is headed by FUOYE’s Deputy Vice Chancellor, Professor Abayomi Fasina, while Mrs Blessing Eyiolorunpe is the Secretary.

The panel has two weeks to submit its report.
