As part of responsibility saddled the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC) to save and protect life and property of the citizens of the country stated in 2003 Act and Amended Act of 2007 respectively, the Anti Human Trafficking and Child Protection Unit of the Corps in Oyo State has been living to the standard expected of them.

 The State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Oyo state, CC Iskilu Akinsanya made this known today during quarterly recap of the Corps performance in the 2019 and training of 128 peace desk officer across Oyo State at the opening of  the one-day training at Nigeria security and Civil Defence Corps Oyo State Command Headquarters, Agodi Ibadan

While presenting the report card of Anti Human Trafficking and Child Protection Unit to people present at the Command Headquarters, Agodi, Ibadan, Commandant Iskilu Akinsanya made it known that over eighty (80) cases ranges from child physical abuse, child trafficking, child placement and child sexual assault, incest, rape, most cases of child physical abused, are attended to and resolved.

 Meanwhile, Commandant Iskilu Akinsanya used the medium to analyse the cases involved with the Anti Human Trafficking as follows: 5 Rape cases (6-10years), 4 Incest (11-16years, 23 Child physical abuse(6-17years), 39 child placement (Abandonment/Neglect)(6-17years) and 10 child trafficking cases(6-17years) to make all the cases 81 since the beginning of 2019.

  Commandant Iskilu Akinsanya later called on parents and guardians to make the welfare of their children and wards a priority and enjoined them to always monitor their children by identify the type of people they move around with.

 He encouraged the peace desk officer to settle disputes with passion and integrity in their various formation as good ambassador of the command.

Commandant Iskilu Akinsanya enjoined the people of the state to always visit the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in their vicinity or state Headquarters in case of any any abuse, threat or security challenges.

    This is a good move from Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Oyo State Command and I think with the analysis I can see the Corps has to help the masses in tackling this child abuse in the state.
