The Chairman, Oyo State Board of Internal Revenue, Mr. John Adeleke says the board will follow trajectory of double revenue disclosing that the state made two point seven billion naira last month.

He stated this during a press conference by Friends of Seyi Makinde held at the Ministry of Information, Secretariat, Ibadan.

Mr. Adeleke said the state would bring about a revolution in revenue generation through technology to collect revenue effectively and block leakages.

Mr. Adeleke while pointing out that the state has moved away from its usual revenue between 1.2bn and 1.3bn said government was supportive by bringing back majority of board of internal revenue staff redeployed three years ago to enhance revenue generation.

In a remark, the Coordinator Friends of Seyi Makinde, Chief Funsho Abiri said the group would continue to create and facilitate synergy for investment and engineered effort for economic growth of the state 

Chief Abiri said a paradigm shift had occurred in Oyo state with Governor Makinde in the saddle and residents of Oyo state should look forward to better days.
